How To Record Incoming Phone Calls?
With CallRec.me versions earlier than v1.2, you could record a phone call that you received on your iPhone just by launching CallRec.me app while on a call. Because of several restrictions that Apple imposes on iPhone apps, this is not possible anymore (you can read more details on this topic on our blog ).
With CallRec.me v1.2 and above, you can record incoming phone calls in two ways: 1) through a bookmarked webpage and 2) by directly dialing one of CallRec.me access numbers.
Please have in mind that when you initiate recording of incoming calls in any of these ways, CallRec.me will not announce that the call is being recorded, nor will it beep during the call - so please check your local regulations on recording phone calls (you can start from here ).
Using A Bookmarked Webpage
To be able to use this method for recording incoming phone call, you need to create a bookmark from Safari on your iPhone.
To create a bookmark, launch Safari web browser on your iPhone and navigate to http://CallRec.me/incoming webpage. At the bottom of that page you will find detailed instructions on how to bookmark it, although it is exactly the same process you do whenever you wish to bookmark some page on iPhone.
Once you create a bookmark you will find a new butterfly icon on your iPhone home screen titled "Record Call".
When you receive and answer incoming call that you wish to record, press the Home button on your iPhone while on a call to go to Home screen. Tap the “Record Call” icon and select one of the CallRec.me access numbers which is closest to you.
iPhone will put your active call on hold and dial the selected CallRec.me access number. As soon as CallRec.me answers your incoming call, tap the "Merge calls" button on your iPhone to merge that call with the original call that you wish to record.
As soon as you hang up, you will find a recorded phone call on the Recordings tab in CallRec.me app.
Dialing CallRec.me Access Number Manually
Visit the http://CallRec.me/access-number page to see a list of CallRec.me access numbers. Pick one which is closest to you (e.g. pick a UK number if you are in England) and add it to your contacts on iPhone. If you are a frequent recorder you can even attach a speed dial key to it for easier dialing.
When you receive and answer a call that you wish to record, just tap the "add call" button on your iPhone and dial the CallRec.me access number. As soon as CallRec.me answers your incoming call, tap the "Merge calls" button on your iPhone to merge that call with the original call that you wish to record.
Please note that your original call will be placed on hold while you are dialing CallRec.me access number.
